After gaining significant attention with her debut album I Still Write Songs About You (2022), she released her second critically acclaimed album Someone to Come Home To in 2024, already making waves with her honest and emotionally charged music. The single "Someday" (2022) is to date her biggest hit – NRK P1 listed the song for an impressive 18 weeks, and several of her tracks have also gained traction on NRK P3 Urørt and in the UK.

Melis also received national attention when she participated in Stjernekamp in 2023, where she showcased her enormous vocal range and struck a strong chord with both critics and audiences. Her music and presence have captured the attention of several well-known figures, such as Anne Lindmo, who described hearing Melis for the first time as an experience of "goosebumps and dropped jaws."

With several TV appearances, including on Lindmo and Kvelden Før Kvelden, and collaborations with the Stargate team in Los Angeles, Melis is already a name on the rise in the pop world. She has an expression and a voice that cannot be ignored – and it’s only a matter of time before the rest of the world discovers what we already know: Melis is a star on her way to shine even brighter.
